Who We are

My name is Andrew Ewing. I live just outside Milton Keynes with my wife & 3 boys. I have a dedicated office at home which gives me the flexibility to keep involved with my family. I spent the first 11 years of my working life working for 3 different accounting practices, taking my ACCA exams & learning every aspect of working in an accountancy practice - accounts, audit, personal & company tax, VAT and statutory work.

I then spent 5 years working in London as Finance Director for an IT services company. I was responsible for every aspect of the accounts & administration of the company & had a supporting staff of around 8 people. This period taught me valuable experience in people management, business relationships and and the complexity of skills required to run a large, successful & profitable business.

Having identified a niche in the market for a quality management accounts/financial controller role, I set up my own business in 2003 to provide such a service. My target client is typically too small to have its own accountant but is reluctant to engage the expensive services of an accountancy firm. They want a part-time accountant that they can trust to look after their accounts & report back the specific information that each individual client requires. All my clients have come through word of mouth recommendations. All have required some intensive initial work to get the numbers straight. All are very happy with the ongoing service I provide.

I do not employ staff as I enjoy dealing with numbers, not managing people. I have high working standards & client satisfaction which I am not prepared to compromise.

I understand the mindset of the entrepreneur & I thoroughly enjoy working with my clients to give them the level of service they need to run their business successfully.
